Maharashtra 5 Jyotirlinga Darshan Cab Service
This circuit covers all five of Maharashtra’s sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, more than any other state in India. Gocabish runs dedicated pilgrimage cabs to each one from every starting city on this route.
Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga
Trimbakeshwar sits near Nashik at the foot of Brahmagiri hill, regarded as the place where the sacred Godavari river begins. The shrine is unusual for depicting three faces representing Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva together. If your visit falls during the upcoming Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Simhastha, see our dedicated Kumbh Mela 2027 page for Shahi Snan dates and crowd-specific travel advice.
Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga
Bhimashankar lies deep in the Sahyadri hills, inside a wildlife sanctuary that is also home to the rare Indian giant squirrel. The temple is connected to the legend of Shiva’s victory over the demon Tripurasura.
Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga
Grishneshwar stands close to the Ellora Caves in Aurangabad district and holds the position of the twelfth and final Jyotirlinga in the traditional sequence. Almost every traveller combines the visit with the nearby Ellora Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in the same stop.
Aundha Nagnath Jyotirlinga
Aundha Nagnath sits in Hingoli district and is widely regarded as the oldest of Maharashtra’s Jyotirlingas, with local tradition crediting Yudhishthira and the Pandavas with its construction during their exile. It sits furthest from the rest of the circuit, so most travellers pair it with Parli Vaijnath on the same leg.
Parli Vaijnath Jyotirlinga
Parli Vaijnath sits in Beed district and is known locally as the healing Jyotirlinga, worshipped as Vaidyanath, the lord of medicine. The temple sees heavy footfall during Shravan and Mahashivratri, and most travellers combine it with Aundha Nagnath as the final leg of the circuit.
